Quick answer: King's Cup does not require alcohol. Replace every drink instruction with points, a sip of any non-alcoholic beverage, trivia, or a short challenge, and replace the center cup with a challenge bowl.
Four Easy Substitution Systems
Points
Each lost challenge adds one point; lowest score wins.
Trivia
Answer a quick question instead of drinking.
Movement
Use accessible actions such as claps, poses, or stretches.
Mocktails
Use small sips of water, soda, juice, or another chosen drink.
Replace the King's Cup
Put an empty bowl in the center. Each King drawer adds a written prompt. The fourth King drawer selects one prompt, or the group completes it together. Another option is to collect the letters K-I-N-G; the fourth drawer answers a final trivia question.
Adapt Persistent Rules
Mate can share points, Question Master can award a point for an accidental answer, and Thumb Master can give a harmless challenge to the slowest player. The card sequence stays unchanged.
Hosting Tips
Tell guests in advance that this is a non-alcoholic game, offer several substitutions, and make opting out routine. The game works because of quick social prompts—not because of what anyone drinks.
