Kings Cup is a social card game in which players draw from a shuffled deck and follow a different rule for each card rank. It is also known as Ring of Fire, Circle of Death, and Waterfall in different regions. The game is easy to start because there is no score sheet or complicated board: all you need is a standard deck, a group of players, and an agreed set of card meanings. Alcohol is optional, and every drinking instruction can be replaced with points, trivia, mocktails, or short challenges.
Players take turns drawing one card at a time. Number cards usually trigger quick actions such as Floor, Heaven, Rhyme, Mate, or Categories, while face cards can create longer roles such as Question Master. The Kings build toward the game's finale: traditionally, the first three King drawers contribute to a center cup and the fourth King drawer completes the agreed final action. House rules are part of the tradition, so exact meanings can vary from one group to another. Some groups replace Jack with Make a Rule, change the rules for 5 and 6, or use a challenge bowl instead of a mixed center cup. The important part is agreeing on the deck before the first draw.
